Anthony is the rhythm on the strings! He alternates between two different acoustic guitars at live shows:
(1) Taylor 714ce Cedar/Rosewood Acoustic-Electric
(2) Martin RS1 Road Series Acoustic-Electric
Along with stellar vocals and tambourine, Lily plays a Seagull S8 Acoustic-Electric Mandolin! She's only been playing mandolin since May 2018 but has already come a long way in her style and groove!
It's not just a box - Carson plays a modified LP "Legacy" Aspire Cajon with piezoelectric triggers! His electronic module allows him to play not only cajon, but also cymbals, cowbell, low bass notes, and many other interesting add-ons!
Mister "Ebony Masterpiece" himself, Eric Cullins is our extremely talented violinist and he adds quite the southern flair to the mix! Whether he's playing an acoustic or electric violin, his fiddle playing fills the room and makes every song unique!
Derek Lane is our man of many beats! Usually on his PDP acoustic drum kit, sometimes on an electronic kit, always in the pocket. Derek's gear also includes Zildjian A-custom cymbals, Promark sticks by D'Addario, and a Roland SPD-SX Sampling Pad!
Patrick, our part-time trumpet player, is the newest member of The Smoky Nights! He plays a Bach Stradivarius Model 37 trumpet and really puts a soulful punch in our songs!
